Administrator login

I set up our new family computer about two months ago in XP Home with
everyone having a login. I just went to load some new software and it tells
me that I'm not the administrator, although I've loaded software before
without a problem. How do I log in as the administrator? It's not an option
on the normal login page.

To get to the normally hidden, built-in Administrator account in XP Home
you must go into Safe Mode. However, the error message you are getting
is not normal since all accounts with administrative privileges are
equal. Contact the program's tech support people or look on their
website.

i got to the Window's login, which I know I had set up without a password
(the default). It won't let me log in. I tried Administrator, Admin,
administrator, admin. I even tried all of the passwords I use. Nothing. Any
suggestions?

Do you know EXACTLY what the error message is. You do not have
administrative permissions or privileges, or does it state The
administrative account is disabled.

I'm not the person with the problem so no, I don't know the exact text
of Wiley's error message.
