Admin vs. User in XP Pro

Hi all

By default I have become the IT guy in my little
organization. A colleague recently received a new laptop.
He fired up the machine entered his name and now appears
to be the administrator. He used the machine for several
weeks on travel before we needed to configure it for our
network.

While trying to configure his laptop for our network I had
to create a new profile. I would like to give this new
profile access to all the programs and files that he has
been using since he first got the machine.

Is there an easy way to give his network login "permission"
to be an administrator or is that something that has to be
done when you are creating the new user acct for the first
time?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

From an admin account, go into the user manager and change his login type to
Administrator. Also, to move his settings over, you can run the File and
Settings Transfer Wizard, which moves settings between profiles just as well
as between physical machines.
