Admin 's rights? *Blank desktop with no context menu*

I'm running on Win Xp Pro OS.

I logged into my admin account one day after camp and the desktop refused to
load, the intro sound was played, the wall paper loaded, but there are no
icons at all and when i hit the right mouse button, no context menu came out.
But i can run programmes. I hit ctrl+alt+del, entered task manager and from
there i can run programmes using "new tasks".

I tried logging in a limited account, everything was fine, the desktop
loaded as it should be.

I opened another admin account to test, the same thing happen. But when i
changed the new admin account to a limited account, the desktop loads as per
normal...

There is one article on shell value of one of the registry keys not set to
"shell = explorer.exe". I tried but the value is alright.

I fixed my problem by loading xp over itself. Select
upgrade not new install. It worked and I still have all
my data and finally desktops to work on.
