Admin password reset

If anyone can help in resetting the administrator password
for an upgrade, it would be appreciated. We have booted
from the cd and selected a installation login.

There is no administrator reset in windows. sorry

Two things - in that situation, the password concerned may well be
blank. TAB over and hit Enter.

To do an *upgrade* you do not use that method. You can from a boot of
the CD go into Setup, and elect Repair installation, but if it is an
*upgrade* you want, eg Home to Pro, you run the CD from the existing
system, take Install, continue with Upgrade.

Also, if you do want to change the Administrator password, boot to any
account with Administrator rights, and Start - run the line
control userpasswords2

There you can select any account name and Reset Password
