Adjusting the Tab?

On some of my slides when I hit the Tab key it indents a certain amount and

on other slides it indents a different amount. How do you adjust this so
that it is standard on all slides? Is there anyway to adjust the tab in a
similar way to Word?

Each text box is its own "word" document, meaning it carries its own tab
settings. The advantage of using the master slide text boxes is they start
with the same formating and can be universally adjusted by adjusting the
master slide text box. You can use the Format Painter tool to pickup the
formatting from one text box and apply to another (I think). I use
PPTXtreme's Edit add-in to pickup and apply settings. Another great add-in
