Adjust Brightness

I have a few short mpg clips from my digital camera that I would like to
brighten up - they are barely viewable. In Windows Media Player, I can
adjust the brightness and contrast to make it decent looking, but it will not
save after the settings are adjusted - when I play it again, it looks dark
again.

So I tried Movie Maker .... and I can find NO options for adjusting
brightness ANYWHERE. It mentions it in passing in the help files ... but not
where this option is listed. I saw someone else ask a similar question
earlier, but the answers given also don't help, as I can see these options
NOWHERE in my program. Can someone please point me in the right direction???

===================================
In Movie Maker...drag the clips to the timeline
and go to...Video Effects / Brightness Increase.

Just drag the effect and drop it on the clip. If
once is not enough you can do it up to 6 times.

Or...right click the clip and choose Video Effects...
Choose Brightness Increase and click the Add
button up to 6 times.

And...you can do it in a batch if you choose...
Show Storyboard. Select all the clips...Edit /
Select All...now right click the Brightness Increase
Icon and from the menu...choose...Add To
Storyboard.
