AddressByteWriteBySPPMode

There is a small window that opens after the computer has
been on awhile. It says, and I
quote, "AddressByteWriteBySPPMode Fails." The computer
seems to run fine. You cannot get rid of this window,
either by clicking, OK, or clicking the "X" in the upper
right corner. We are running Windows XP and recently
insalled a new update. We did not have this problem
before this update. Any ideas what this is?

What a strange message. It seems to relate to your processors, BIOS, etc,
and not Windows. Do you have a manual for your motherboard?

good luck, maybe remove your hp scanner and re-install.
