address history, unable to delete files

I have adddress that still remain in my history file when
the first letter is typed into my address bar, after
delleting content/cookies etc. how do i get rid of these?I
dont really know computers very well, if any one can help
me out,it would be a big help..

Hi,
First, check the options at IE> Tools> Internet Options> Content>
Autocomplete. If clearing the History doesn't clear all entries, then you
have corruption in the History folder or it's index.dat file.

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
