Address field box/shorten length??

My address field box is almost the length of the browser. It ends at
the *arrow* which is followed by *Go* and then *Links>>*. Anyway to
make this box shorter? I do not need to see every letter in a WWW

R-Click on a blank portion of the Standard Buttons area of the toolbars at
the top. Select un-lock toolbars>grab a portion of the address bar (or
whatever you want) when a double ended arrow appears>drag it to the location
and size you want. Certain pre-existing parameters may limit exactly what
you'd like, but I can get mine to do just about anything, depending on where
the respective "tools" are located. Right-click when done, and re-lock the
toolbars.

FYI: my layout is:
1) Tool Menus; Small google search window and minimal google tools.
2) Standard buttons (a lot of them)
3) Links which contains "snip this", and Google Search (highlight tool);
Address bar; Go.

Just drag it by the handle to the left of "Address" and make it
whatever size you want.

Don't forget to ensure "Lock the Toolbars" is unchecked in
View-Toolbars.
