Where are the files containing the information in the
address book stored in the system?
 
Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WAB\WAB4\Wab File Name

The Default value of this key shows you the location and file name of your
Windows Address Book.
 
Open the address book, click on Help, About Address Book and there is the
location.
 
In outlook express you can export the address book to a
secure folder to be imported at a later date say after a
re install.You can also do this with your accounts.
