Address Book WIldcard Search

I cannot seem to do a wildcard search within Address Book (2002). How, for
example, would I search for all people in the address book with a last name
ending in "ing" or a job title ending in "er"?

Not sure what you mean since Outlook has no Address Book.
Contact data is all stored in Contacts Folders. Seems to me you should be
using Advanced Find in your Contacts Folder.
