Address Book Failure

I am using Windows XP Home and have had to reformat the hard drive and have
reinstalled Microsoft Office XP Professional. I then reinstalled my back up
..pst file which had everything but it seems no addresses. When I click on the
address book icon in the tool bar, I get the following message:
"The address could not be displayed. The Contacts folder associated with
this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted; or
you do not have permissions etc".

How do I activate or get the address book to work again? Advice gratefully
received!

Unfortunately the link does not apply to "XP". When I go into the e-mail
account in Tools; it only refers to the e-mail account with no mention of the
address book. I do have all of the addresses in the Contacts folder in the
left hand tool bar but it is not linked directly to the Address Book. On
clicking on the Address Book, I first get the error message (see below).
After clicking OK on this mesage, a dialogue box opens from which I can
select the Contacts folder, and the addresses appear. The link between the
two (Contacts folder & Address Book) seems to be missing. When I reinstalled
XP Office, I put the .pst file directly into its target folder and my e-mail
folders immediately appeared. Many thanks for your help!

"XP" = Outlook 2002. It most certainly does apply. Read the instructions for
Outlook 2002.
