address bar on i.e 6.0 is missing

hi, i have i.e 6.0..my friend was on the net a while
ago..now i do not see the adress bar to type in my
url's..could u please help me with this problem...i am
tired of going thru search engines as i do not have the
address bar to type in the url's...i would really
appreciate ur help...jimmy

If you see the smallest piece of the Address Bar (usually the name)
then stretch the Address bar back to a normal size and move it if
necessary. If the Button Bar or some other bar is to the right of it,
you may want to move that to a different position first.

Don't forget to ensure "Lock the Toolbars" is unchecked in
View-Toolbars.

Hi Jimmy,

A couple of things could have happened. Lets start with the simplest. Right
click on the toolbar on a blank spot and see if you have address bar checked
as enabled. If so, then look and see if lock the tool bars is enabled. If it
was not enabled, move your mouse cursor until a double ended arrow appears
at the bottom of the toolbar>click and drag the toolbar downward until the
address bar shows. The same is to be tried if the lock the toolbars was
enabled, but first uncheck that command and then try the same procedure. If
that is not the case that remedies it there may be something else more
complex involved. Let's try this for starters, OK?

I had the same problem before. You just need to drag the
mouse down to open the address bar. Just move the mouse
under the links and drag it down and it will appear.
