Address Bar/HTTP:

When searching for a web site the http:// has to be typed
before the www. or, I can type a web page name and
ctrl/enter to find the web site. The word ADDRESS is no
longer highlighted, it's dulled,like it's been turned off.
Any help with this would be appreciated.

Check the below Registry entries vs. yours:
