Address Bar delayed reaction

Recently, when I type an internet address in the address
bar and hit return, the address highlites but the browser
doesn't go to the site for 3-10 minutes. All favorites,
or links from pages work normally and quickly, but
manually entering a web address doesn't. Any ideas?

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
