STAN1ZX

Hello All,
I am looking to increase the RAM on my PC from 512Mb to 1024MB,
I have the following configuration
Slot 0 has 256Mb
Slot 1 is Empty
Slot 2 has 256MB
Slot 3 is Empty
What is the best way to do this ? get two more 256 modules and plug them
into the empty slots or, remove the two 256's and replace them with the
512's
Thanks
Stan

Stan, it all depends on what Motherboard you have. It's best to follow
the instructions in the Manual. But buying Paired
Memory is a definite advantage. Corsair, Kingston most of the Quality
Memory Manufacturers have them.

Purchase a 512mb at this point,the less hardware the less youre os ha
to access.

Depends on the current memory price, and you future expansion plans

Like so

Will not need more than 1024 in the futur
AN
512 is too expensiv

-> buy 2 x 25

O

May need more than 1024 late
AN
Money is not an issu

-> buy 2 x 512, and add them to 2 x 256 that you already have
