Adding subtitles to video

Does anyone know about video editing software that allows
to add subtitles to a movie ?
I have searched everywhere, but no joy...

Search for the latest version of VIRTUALDUB

And you will need a plugin for add subtitles whit it, that
can be downloaded from the site of virtualdub, sorry i
dont remember the adress, but you can search it in google.
