subtitles

Hi'
I was just wondering if anyone knows how to play or view
subtitles in windows meadia player 9.

The actual subtitles are in a .srt file but i dont know
how to load them with the actual film.

Does anyone have any ideas??

For DVDs? Ctrl+Shift+c while the movie is playing....
 
The subtitles are not from a dvd , the actual movie file
is a dvd rip, and the subtiles are separate to the actual
movie.

Are you using Virtual Dub? You may need a subtitle filter in Virtual Dub to
display them in your AVI files. Get TextSub or VobSub subtitle filters .
They are both part of VobSub 2.18.
