Adding Security Group to Windows XP administrators

I have just installed a new Windows 2003 Small Business Server and set up a
domain on it. I have added two XP machines as domain members, however I want
to add a domain security group to the local administrators group. When I go
to Manage, Local Users & Group, Administrators and click on add, all I see
for a location is the local machine name. What have I done wrong. I can
browse the network for all devices, remove and readd machines to the domain,
and still I can't see the domain as a valid location on the XP machines. Any
ideas.

How did you log into the WinXP workstations? If you logged in using a
local account, this is normal.

Tried it both ways, logged in a local account and with a domain admin account
nt as well and still can't see it. I do see that the domain\domain admins
account has been to the local administrators group as I would expect.
