Hope someone can point me in the right direction here. We have a small (10)
user network, everyone running XP-Pro. We have a broadband internet
connection and a Belkin router 192.168.2.1. We then go to a 16 port DLink
switch. One of the staff needed to add other devices in his office about 4
months ago so we added a small (?) linksys router and he was able to add his
VOIP phone and laptop to the network. Yesterday, he bought a larger BEFSR41
Linksys router and replaced the original (which worked fine). My problem is
that using the setup installation CD, I can install and configure the new
router (using his original ethernet cable) but cannot access anything else
on the network. The settings are as follows: Belkin has an address of
192.168.2.1 and has 50 addresses available. IP addresses are assigned using
DHCP. The Linksys, after configuration, has a local address of 192.168.1.1
and a starting address of 192.168.1.100. It gives me access to the internet
but not Lan # 1. I recall seeing a paper about this configuration but can't
find it now.
Thanks for any help
