adding screen saver not showing up in display choices

Hello

I am trying to add a screen saver (exe) file to win XP. I don't have any options to browse and can't select the files directly from the drop down list in the screen saver tab. Is there a specific place where I could paste the exe file and have the choice to use it. I looked around but I can't find where all the screen savers are located (XP original screen savers). Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank

Try downloading and installing Screencontrol. I've used it forever and
love it. Access and configure all screensavers.
