Adding ports 25 and 110 to XP media edition

When trying to use Outlook Express I got an error and
found the cause in MS knowledgebase. In doing the
netstat -an command I see that ports 25 and 110 are not
active. How can I start these up?

Hi, Al -

Ports 25 and 110 shouldn't be active unless OE is sending
or receiving mail. OE doesn't listen on any port - it
opens the appropriate port when doing an automatic send
and receive or when you push the send/receive button.

Exactly what's the error you're seeing?
