I don't think you've worn Cindy out, but she's in Switzerland, and it's
sleepytime over there.

Depending on your Word version, the Same as Previous/Link to Previous button
will have a different appearance, but the On/Off state will be represented
in the same way as other toggles (such as Bold, Italic, and so on). On will
be pushed in, highlighted, bordered, etc., and off will be the reverse. Even
more indicative, when a header or footer is linked to the corresponding
header/footer in the previous section, the words "Same as Previous" will be
at the top of the Header/Footer pane.

Note, however, that whether the header/footer is linked or not has no
bearing on the margins settings for a given section unless you're changing
the margins by using header/footer tricks.

Yep :) Thanks for jumping in and carrying the ball.

I was reluctant to do so, as you've been handling this so competently that I
have not been following it closely, but I figured I could deal with at least
that issue. <g>

Ladies,
I love it when women fight over me!!
Seriously though, you folks ( I mean everyone, especially the MVP's ) are
more than gracious to help out on these forums.
I'm going to work on this problem again tonight, starting from Cindy's first
post on this problem.
Thank you,
mojr
