Converting WordPerfect Documents to Word XP

I am attempting to convert a legal pleading to Word XP from WordPerfect 6.1. The built-in converter recognized the pleading numbering as a watermark, and the formatting is unmanagable. If I delete the watermark and open the document onto a pleading paper template, the numbering will only show up on the last page. Any help or direction to help sites would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!

It sounds like you deleted the footer containing the page numbering for the
section prior to the last page.

I don't understand. I apologize. I didn't delete the footer - the footer was created in WordPerfect 6.1, and I didn't delete it. Whether I delete the watermark or not, or whether I do any maintenance to the document or not, I am getting the same result. It is about a 6 page document, and only the last page will retain the template pleading paper.

On a side note, I can't change the font of the pleading paper numbers either. Is there a way to do that? Thank you!
