Adding new font

I had to restore my computer. Now I am unable to re-install a font that I had
added.

The error message after using the (start-control panel-fonts-file-install
new font)is as follows: The ____.TFF file is currently being used and cannot
be replaced. Wait until windows is finished using the file, and then try
again.

The new font is not located in the font file.

What can be done to install this font.

Thanks

"B" suggested this:

"Close down all of your background programs, ensure you are logged in as
the administrator, and then use this MS knowledge base document:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314960 "

Elmo,

Thanks for your help. I tried your suggestion. It turned out to be the same
installation method that I used without going thru the "run" window. It gave
the same results.

Thanks, Rudy

I think the problem is windows is currently using it. Boot in Safe mode then
try.
