I'm wondering if it's a fast way to add a new file extension to the folder
options. eg if I remove the file extension for PowerPoint how can I add it
again without doing it manually and how do I enable all the options in the
advanced window. As you probably understand I removed the PPT extension
because I had problem opening PPT on the web but when I removed and put it
back again it worked find but the PPT wouldn't open in IE explorer because
the option in the advanced setting "brows in same window " was disabled. How
do I fix that and is there a command to add a new file extension?

Best regards,

Lars

"associate a file with a program" in the Help and Support Center explains
how to do this through the UI.
The assoc and ftype cmdline tools can be scripted. There's also help
content for them.
