Adding Headers and Footer to an Entire Workbook??

Does anyone know how to add headers and footers to an entire workbook? OR do
I have to add the same header and footer to every single worksheet
individually?

Thank you for any assistance.

Click on the first worksheet tab, and while holding down shift, click on the
last worksheet tab to group the sheets.

Then click FILE in the menu, select PAGE SETUP and click the HEADER/FOOTER
tab. Add your header as you normally would and it will be assigned to all
selected worksheets.

To ungroup the sheets right click on any worksheet tab and select UNGROUP.

Kevin,
Thank you for you reply.

It works fine on any version anterior to Excel 07.
Unfortunately on Excel 07 (.XLS format) I cannot set up headers and footers
for the entire workbook (comprising of several sheets).
I selected all the sheets at once, went to Print Preview, Page Setup. When I
add a header, it only adds it on the sheet currently showing on screen but
none of the others.
I also discovered that when panes were frozen, you couldn't use the "headers
and footers" on the Insert tab. It had to unfreeze the panes and screwed the
print areas I already setup for all the sheets...

Data wise this version of Excel is a lot better, but setting up sheet is
still a nightmare.

Hi,

This seems to work with MS Office 2007
1. First select all the sheets as adviced above.
2. Then select in the ribbon the View menu and
3. click command "Page Layout" view. After doing so,
4. Edit the Header/Footer.

cheers,

Marko
