Adding handout view of slides to WORD document

I would like to add the 'handout' view of a set of PowerPoint slides to a
WORD document. How is this done?

It doesn't really work. I get three slides in colour per page with lines for
comments beside. What I really want is to get exact replication of
black/white slides, 6 per page (as one can specific in print function) with
no space at side or underneath slides. Any ideas?

In Word you will need to adjust the tables and layout, delete the lines, etc.
In PowerPoint 2003 you cannot get black and white. What version are you using?

I am using PP 2002. Within the print function can selectthe handout as B &
W. When do send to WORD slides appear in colour - do I have to chang eth
ecolour first. It seems rather cumbersome. I have several sets of 100+
slides used for training purposes which I need to include in a manual being
constructed using WORD 2002. Any furhter suggests would be very welcome.
Thanks

Now I'm in over my head because I don't use this method and I don't have the
right software installed on this system. Maybe someone else will jump in and
help. I think, though, that you should set your view to black and white and
then send the handouts to Word.

When you set the print function to handouts, black and white, in the print
function dialog box. that is where you have to print from. You cannot go back
into PowerPoint, and select the Send to Word option and retain what you set for
handouts. You will need to pick the Send to Word option that closely meets your
needs. Do your manipulations in word, and print to black and white from that
program.

Yes. What you're seeing is a huge problem with both PPT 2002 and 2003. You
cannot Send to Word in black and white from those versions of PPT.

Your best bet is to either use PPT's own 6-up handouts (which won't help
much since you need to create a manual in Word) or get Shyam's Handout
Wizard. http://www.mvps.org/skp/how

Sorry I don't have a better answer for you.

Oh, no wonder I couldn't get it to work in 2002. <G> I thought it was just
broken in 2003. I just have to replace some of these memory chips. I think
they've been demagnetized.

Best bet for Frustrated User is to grab Shyam's Handout Wizard.

Sure wish there were a better answer.
