Adding columns to a worksheet

Does anyone know how to add more than 256 columns to a excel worksheet?
 
Cannot be done with current or previous versions of Excel.

What are your needs(other than more than 256 columns)?

There may be other methods to do what you want.

You can't, but you can use additional workshhets for many applications.
 
I have to keep a history of some purchases and I have already used the 256
columns but, I added new worksheets and referenced as needed, it would have
just been easier to continue as I was but, a new sheet with 256 new columns
will hold me for about another year. Thanks for the help.
