ADDING A LOGO TO AN ACCESS REPORT

P

Pat

I would like to have our company logo which is saved as a Picture in Word on
our report. I can get it onto the report perfectly but when I print the
report it just prints the box around the logo. What can I do to have the
full logo print on my report?

If at all possible, it will be better to store your logo in a folder and
just add the filepath to your report
I've described how to do that in a recent post to this newsgroup entitled '
Adding Graphics to a Report - Increases Database Size too much'
In your case, instead of putting your filepath into a table, you can just
put it into your code

I have the logo solely saved in word. I don't think I follow what you are
recommending I try. Where would I find your newsgroup post?
Please email me direct at: (e-mail address removed) if you are able to
expand on your suggested instructions. I would truly appreciate it as I need
a logo on this report as it will be an official document.

My instructions in the post to which I referred , were very Step-by-Step -
if any of them are unclear then the way to deal with this in a newsgroup is
to say, "I don't understand the bit where you say..." or "Where is the
Properties box which you mentioned in your post?". That way, if I have been
unclear, then not only will you be able to take advantage of the explanation
but so will anyone else who wants to do the same thing whilst I will learn
how to express myself more clearly.
The fact that your clip is currently in Word, doesn't usually mean that it
can't be copied and pasted into IrfanView (as I stated in the post I
mentioned) and saved as a jpg. If the logo was created from Word Art or
Autoshapes then it will, admittedly have a white surround but this would
only be a problem if you wanted to print on coloured paper.

A search in Google Groups "Adding Graphics to a Report" (in quote marks)
puts my thread right at the top of the page.

It is possible that you don't realize that asking someone to send you a
private email isn't entirely appropriate in newsgroups which are there to
allow us to learn from each other. It would be like asking a lawyer to give
you private, but free, legal advice.

Thank you for your assistance.
It sounds like I have both upset and offended you each of which I am sorry
for.
I am new to both access and the online community and therefore asked for
something which I, apparently, should not do. Sorry to you and anyone else I
may have offended.

I'm sure you didn't intend to, Pat and please don't be put off posting. I
suspect, to return to your original problem, that you were (understandably)
trying to use an Object Frame (I'm getting to hate those things!) to insert
your picture whereas an image frame does a much better job

Do write back if my instructions in the aforementioned message don't make
sense to you. The chances are that if they don't, someone else will be
equally puzzled.
