checkboxes

I have a donations table and want to make donation receipts. I made a report
with cash, cheque or gift checkboxes. The correct box is checked when I run
the report but both the checkmark and the box disappears when I print the
report. I set it up as a form but the same resulted.

Also, since we are on the subject. I cannot get our company logo to appear
on the report. I have to print it twice, once in word and then the access
report.

Suggestions re the disappearing check boxes.

a) Make sure their Display When property is set to all (not Screen Only.)

b) Try changing the report's Fast Laser Printing to No. (Other tab of
Properties, when looking at properties of the Report.)

c) Try a different kind of printer. (This will let you know if the problem
is related to the printer driver.)

d) If you are still stuck, this workaround uses a wingdings character to
simulate a check box:

Re your company logo, with the report in design view, click the Image
control. (It's in the Controls chunk of the Design tab of the ribbon in
Access 2007, or in the toolbox in previous versions.) Then click where you
want the logo on the report. Access will ask you to locate the graphic to
insert.

If you need the logo on several reports, you might want to put the image in
an unbound report, and then use it as a subreport in the header of your
other reports. Advantages:
a) Doesn't bloat the database as much, as it's only inserted once.

b) If the logo ever needs updating, you only have to change it in one place.

I switched to another printer and it worked perfectly thank you.
I cannot, however, get the logo to appear. I am currently reprinting the
receipt in word adding the logo. Someone suggested saving it as a picture
(not sure how to do this). When I click on the logo I get a message that
says: This is an imported picture, not a group. Do you want to convert it
to a microsoft office drawing object.
It would make my life so much easier if I could have the logo print directly
on the receipts in one process.
