Adding a component

I've tried twice to add a Windows XP Pro sp3 component with no success. The
help file said you have to be an administrator to do this. In the user
accounts I'm listed as a computer administrator. Should I be able to add
components with that type of account? There is no account showing for
administrator. I tried to add an account named administrator and was told it
already existed. So, I guess it's hidden someplace. Also, should I clear all
the boxes that I don't want to add and check the box of the part I do want
to add? I don't want to lose anything. Thanks for any help.

When adding a Windows Component under Add/Remove Programs, the items ALREADY
installed are checked. If you uncheck them, when you click Apply/OK, the
items will be removed.

Windows XP keeps a list of components that can be installed. What component
are you trying to install and is it in the Windows Component list?
