adding a 2003 dc to a 2000 AD domain

Want to add a 2003 DC to a 2K domain. Last time I
attempted this the Domain Security Policy of the 2003 DC
overwrote the Domain Security Policy we already had in
place - e.g. turned on password complexity, etc. How can I
prevent the 2003 DC from overwriting the current GPO and
Domain Security Policy we already have in place in our 2K
domain? Is there a TechNet article on this? Thanks!

unfortunately there is no way of stopping WIndows 2003 server from becoming
the GPO. If you want to maintaing the current setup, you'll have to upgrade
your existing DC to Windows 2003.
