adding 2003r2 standard to domain

We have already added a few DC's for Windows 2003 Server Standard Sp1 to our
Win2k domain which is working ok.

I am about to deploy another DC and Win 2003 R2 Standard is available - are
there any gotcha's or issues surrounding R2, different to vanilla 2003 ?

You have to extend the schema using ADPREP version which is located on
the CD2 of R2 (CMPNENTS\R2\ADPREP).

Some nasty self-ad - here is a blog entry about practices of schema
extensions:

No, How ever you have to extend your AD schema to Windows Server 2003 R2
level aka schema version 31 in order to have Domain Controllers running
Windows Server 2003 R2.
