Adding 2000 domain controller to NT4 domain

Can anyone point me to a procedure for installing a 2000
server on an NT4 domain as a domain controller? I try to
run dcpromo but I cannot get going because this is not an
active directory domain. I would like to be able to add
the 2000 server without having to make a new domain and
recreate accounts and such. Any help will be most
appreciated.

A Windows 2000 server cannot be a domain controller on an NT 4.0 domain.

You can have an NT server as a DC on a Windows 2000 domain but it doesn't
work the other way around.

Make it a NT servr first, promote to PDC and then upgrade
to 2000 and domain controller.
