Add/Remove Programs

I have Windows XP, and it seems everytime i go into my
add/remove programs option, i have a new Microsoft
Windows XP Hotfix installed. i think ive collected around
20 now... do i need to save these? or can i remove older
ones? wat ARE they? any hlep would be good. thanks

No... you should leave them there.

If you remove them, you are removing the patch. You are probably getting
them through automatic updates.

They are added in the add\remove program list just in case there is a conflict with your system. You then have a simple means of removing the patch. If after several days you don't find any problems with your system and would like to remove them from the list to substantially shorten it then Doug Knox has made a hand tool to do the job.
