I now have items sat in my Add/Remove Programs called
Windows XP Hotfix and I haven't a clue what they are.

Can anyone shed some light on this, I will be most
grateful.

Hi David,
A hotfix is a software patch for a particular issue, if you use the Windows
Update site most of what you install from there are hotfixes. Don't remove
these entries in add/remove programs as that also removes the updated files
the were provided in that fix.

When you have Windows XP Hotfix in add/remove programs it
means you usually get this with a Windows Update.

You ALWAYS get this with certain Windows Updates!
