Add/Remove Programs

I have been running Windows 200 Pro for about 3 years. I just tried to
uninstall a program today by going to start/settings/control panel/add/remove
progams as I have always done. However, instead of showing a list of all the
programs that I would be able to uninstall or repair just one line of text
appeared. It reads as follows: "Change or Remove ProgramsAdd New
ProgramsAdd/Remove Windows ComponentsSet Program Access and Defaults". Does
anyone have any idea what this means or how this happened? Please help.
