Add remove programs..

My Add/Remove programs listing seems to messed up on my desktop machine!!...
not really sure how it happened.. The entries show are details of each
program installed.. like All components of MS Office XP installed are shown
in detail. There is a entry for Office XP also, which if I select there is
no Change & Remove button.. Something other programs also if I select does
not have these buttons

Machine has XP Pro with SP2
VS.NET 2003 and Framework 1.1SDK
Office XP

Please help!!

Usually that behavior is shown for "non-admin" users. I'm sure you are
running admin, so it's probably a Policy or Registry setting. One work
around would be to startup in the default Admin account, to see if you can
create a new user, or at least do the add-remove stuff there.

If default admin can't either, it's Policy. On a Domain, a GPO from the
server can do that. On Pro edition XP, the utility GPEdit.MSC will set
policy for the system.
