Where there are named programs in the list in Add/Remove Programs in Control
Panel, not all of them show any MB size. Is it safe to remove them or is
there a reason why there is no MB size. Is there such a thing as an 'empty'
sized program?

It might help if you were to be so kind as to tell us WHAT PROGRAMS YOU ARE
TALKING ABOUT!

This is correct.... It doesn't mean that there is somethig wrong.
The Add/Remove Programs is basically juts a collection of links to easly be
able to remove a program if there are some older programs they might not
even show up there.
(It is more sophistocated than that but juts to give you an idea.)

Some sizes don't register with this. It does not mean you don't have it or
it is empty. For simplicity the size info is juts not available.

Anyway only remove it if you absolutely don't want it anymore. If you're not
sure then juts leave it.
There might be some things that you may not recognize but might still need
for something in the background.

If there is something that concerns you then post it here and we can try to
figure out what it is.

I hope it helps.
