add/remove program list issue

Hello,

The other day I opened the Add/Remove Programs section of the Control
Panel to discover that winxp update uninstall icons were missing and
subsequently replaced by several rectangular black boxes.
I updated my virus definition and scanned the system: it found 4
w32.spybot.worw; i removed them but the problem remains.

Any help would be greately appreciated.
 
ya might want to download spybot and adaware update em
and run, then run yer virus again, purge all restore
points, reboot run virus again and the two above.
reboot ,reenable restore.
