add remove doesn't show all programs

lately most of what i install doesn't show up on add remove.....most show by
size..a few by date..its all fouled up.

If you find the answer, let me know. I have the same problem, possibly
linked to installing service pack 2. Tried all ideas from this group to no
avail.
