Add on deletes and program uninstalls

How do you delete not disable a browser add-on, also how do you remove a
program that won't let you use the add or remove programs featurein the
control panel. I don't and unistall for the program and the program is gone
but still shows in the control panel add/remove a program area this is ie 6.0
and windows XP not the professional
 
Hi,

1) What add-on? How it is removed depends on what it is. Some are easy, some
parasites can pose a lot of difficulty.

2) Delete the associated key under this one in the system registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
