Add item to all users' calendar

Hello,

Using Exchange 2003 Server (and Outlook 2003) we are aiming to set up a user
that has the rights to add items to other people's calendar without sending
them a calendar update every time something is added as the majority of
calendar items do not require a response.

Could you help me figure out how to avoid sending calendar updates every
time I create a new appointment?

Hello,

Thanks for your quick reply. Could you be more specific about what rights a
user would need to add items to other users' calendars? We have an AA Staff
email distribution list - is it likely that it could be sent through this way
as opposed to sending individual updates?

if they have the right to add and add the event to the calendar directly,
updates should not be sent at all.

Hello,

I have tested setting up meetings on another user's calendar (that I have
the right permissions for) and it works like a treat.

However, are there any alternative ways to add meetings to multiple users'
calendars (without having to do it manually) that avoids them receiving
updates every time something is added?

If you send meetings via email, updates will be sent. Users need to open the
calendar (File, Open, other users calendar) and create the appointment on
the calendar. They need non-editing author or greater on the calendar to
create the items.
