Add-in...?

I'm not longer able to see people's profiles on my msn
list, i cannot update my profile either or click to check
my mail...? what does this add in mean?

Greetings Katy,

In order to use the features you're describing in Windows Messenger 4.x, you need to have the
MSN Add-In installed, which you can find here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/messenger/addindownload.asp

Alternatively, you can simply use MSN Messenger 6.2 instead, which has all of these features
built-in:
