add hardware wizard

I've installed a Canon Multipass C530 all-in-one using
the drivers downloaded from the Canon websitedue to the
incompatability of the CD drivers and Windows XP. Now
the "add hardware wizard" in XP comes up every time I
start the computer. I've tried reinstalling from the CD
but it says it is not compatable with my version of
Windows.
How can I make the Wizard recognize the fact that the
printer is installed and functioning properly? Or at
least stop detecting new hardware.

You should uninstall it first....

Then ensure you install the software from Canon BEFORE connecting the All in
One.

Do NOT connect the printer to the PC until the software actually TELLS you
to do so. If it is a parallel port device, also ensure that LPT is set to
EPP in the BIOS.
