Add Hardware Wizard

Hi, I tried using a logitech quickcam pro 4000 on my WES image and was able
to make it running by installing logitech driver through an install program.
I then tried plugging the webcam on my XP Pro Sp3 without installing the
driver and the "Add Hardware" Wizard managed, on its own, to located the
correct driver and made it work. Those driver aren't standard in XP & I
didn't even plug a webcam in my PC before. To me, it seems that the wizard
got the correct & latest driver from the web. What do I have to add in my
image to have this feature?

Hi Sean,
What I meant about the camera was only an exemple. The situation is that I
want a WES image that has all the necessary components to be able to easily
install any kind of devices (USB, imaging, printer, etc) when plugging them
in our unit. So the Add Hardware Wizard needs to have all the same
capabilities as in XP Pro. I've include all the class installer and basic
support for pretty much every kind of device, but there seem to be something
missing.

Naturally, I won't include every possible component to support all the
devices that XP Pro support natively, but what I saw with the example of my
Quickcam pro 4000, XP Pro didn't have the driver but was able in some sort of
way to get them anyway(from the web, a microsoft server, I don't know).

Anyway, all I want is to have the same capabilities of the Add Hardware
Wizard as XP Pro by including all the component for all the basic Microsoft
driver. That way, our customer would only have to provide the propriatary
driver for the device he want to use, the underlying base would already be
there.

Thanks for your help!

Ben
