I need to know how to add a DNS record to my DNS server.
The record I want to add is servrname.domain.net. I can
resolve this externally but internally I can't.

Use the DNS snap in to expand the DNS server, expand Forward Lookup Zones,
open the domain.net zone, right click in the zone choose new host, in the
name field type in servername, in the IP address field type in the IP
address you need to connect to the server from inside your LAN. If the
server is located locally behind your NAT device it will need the private IP
of the server.

In your DNS manager, open the zone, right click in the right pane and
choose New Record.
