Hi there,,
Just a few steps you could take..
A few excerpts from some forums.
First check for viruses..
If no virus, then a malware check is next, try AVG anti-spyware.
If no malware, then try running sfc /scannow from the run window in start menu
It occurs when a disk is unavailable, for example, a bad block in the
allocation table. What happens is that windows is that the control panel
applet is unable to access the uninstall record for a progam properly. First
have a look in the event viewer and you will probably see a disk error on one
of your hard disks. Remove the physical disk or destroy the partition and
then reboot and try add/remove again. It'll work. I would then bin the faulty
disk, or if you feel confident reformat it. Warning - don't try this on a
boot partition because you will lose the partition, and I would back
everything up before touching anything.
OR.. if nothing works, you can use CCleaner.. a good utility for removing
programs from your computer.
Hope this helps
