AD InterSite Replication

I have been reviewing intersite replication in a test lab. I notice that the
KCC Topology process automatically creates intersite replication objects
based on the settings of the intersite replication link. For example if I
set the replication interval on the intersite link the auto-created objects
modify their schedules to match the intersite link interval value. Is this a
correct assumption?

I enabled the 'ignore schedule' on the intersite link IP container and I did
not notice any difference in replication. If this schedule is ignored what
is driving the replication interval?

TIA

Yep. Been there done this :)

This setting only affects the _availability_ of the site link for
replication. Lets say you configured your sink link for replication every 3
hours and to be unavailable between the hours of 12:00 to 16:00.

If you enable the "ignore schedule" setting then the schedule (site link
unavailable between 12:00 to 16:00) will be ignored and the site link will
be treated as being always available. Replication will continue to take
place every 3 hours as configured in the interval, but will now take place
between 12 to 16:00.

If you've not set a schedule initially (ie the site link is always
available) then the "Ignore Schedule" setting will have absolutely no effect
on your replication. The replication will continue to take place at the
configured interval.
